The Balmoral Green slate is a semi- weathering Green slate. It is similar in colour to a Westmoreland green random slate and so has been often used as an economical alternative.

 

Our Mountain Grey Slate Tile comes in a wide range of sizes, from 40cm x 40cm up to 90cm x 60cm, providing a lot of scope for as hard- wearing slate flooring.

The tiles are riven and cleft making it similar to welsh slate but with a finer texture.

Westmorland Green slate has been quarried in the English Lake District for more than 300 years. These slates are formed from metamorphosed volcanic ash and contain chlorides, which impart a beautiful green colour.
